GATE 2020 Result and Score Card – GATE Result 2020 will release on 16 March 2020 by the GATE 2020 exam authority. Students who have attended the GATE 2020 examination can be check result via the official page of the GOAPS. How to check and download the GATE 2020 Result

Candidates should follow the below mentioned simple steps for how to download the GATE Result 2020.

  1. Visit the GOAPS website
  2. Provide the enrollment ID and Password
  3. GATE 2020 Result will be open on the screen
  4. Take a printout for future references

GATE 2020 Score Card

The GATE 2020 scorecard shall release by the concerned authority after the announcement of the GATE Result 2020. The scorecard has been contained details about the marks obtained from the GATE 2020 Examination and an overall rank of the candidates. Candidates can download it from the GOAPS tentatively after a week from the declaration of the GATE 2020 Result. GATE 2020 score is valid for THREE YEARS from the announcement of the GATE 2020 Result.

Based on the merit list candidates will be shortlisted to the counselling process. Shortlisted candidates may participate in the counselling process according to the GATE score. Approximately the counselling process will be conducted in the month of April 2020.

GATE 2020 Cut Off

Cut off is the qualifying marks to getting the admission into the institution based on the candidate’s performance in the examination. The cut off marks may be prepared from the number of candidates appeared in the examination and pass percentage of the entire examination. GATE 2020 cut off percentage will be finalized by the exam conducted institution. It may be varying every year.

GATE 2020 Counselling Process

After the announcement of the GATE 2020 Result, based on the merit list students can participate in the counselling process. There are two ways in the counselling process i.e.,

  • Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP)
  • Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Admissions (CCMT)
Common Offer Acceptance Portal

Eligible candidates can get the admission from the various Indian Institute of Technologies by applying individually. Based on the student’s merit list and cut off marks wise they will get the admission. Candidates can accept or reject the admission offered through this type of counselling only on the COAP portal.

Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Admissions

CCMT is a platform for candidates to apply the M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan degree progrmmes based on their GATE score. Through this type of counselling, candidates can get the admission into the various NITs. It provides a common platform for online counselling. Students should have to fill the online application form to the participating institutes. This counselling process consists of three stages. It can be listed as follows.

  1. Online Registration and Choice Filling
  2. Online Seat Allotment and Paying Fees
  3. Admission to the Allotted Institution
